File Requirements

Print File Requirements

All supplied files will undergo a full quality and press-ready check before printing. PrintMaster will contact you regarding any files that do not meet our specifications, and we will discuss your options with you.

If you are setting up print files for the first time, make sure they are print-ready by using the print file specifications listed below.

Print-Ready Files

All supplied print-ready files must meet the following specifications:
- All files set up 100% actual size
- 300dpi minimum, or vector format
- CMYK color mode (RGB may be accepted, but we are not responsible for color shifts)
- Fonts converted to outlines/shapes, or supply font files
- 0.125” bleed on all sides (art must extend 0.125” beyond the finished trim edges of the piece)
- 0.125” safety margin (text, logos, or other important elements must be 0.125” inside the finished edges of the piece)
- Include crop/trim marks
- Export/Save as a PDF file (may be single-page or multiple-page files)

Files for editing

Supplied files for PrintMaster to make edits/modifications to must meet the following specifications:
- Acceptable file formats: PSD, TIFF, AI, EPS, INDD
- All files set up 100% actual size
- 300dpi minimum, or vector format
- 0.125” bleed on all sides (art must extend 0.125” beyond the finished trim edges of the piece)
- All layers must be present and editable
- All links and fonts must be collected/packaged and included
